Natalya has been working in public accounting for over twenty years. She provides forensic, valuation, litigation, and tax services across various industries. Natalya has testified on a variety of valuation and litigation matters. She is a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Valuation Services Committee. As an AICPA member, Natalya is helping edit the AICPA’s Business Valuations for Gift and Estate Tax Practice Aid and working on the AICPA’s scenario task force. Natalya continues her engagement as a speaker/presenter on valuation-related topics at the AICPA & CIMA Forensic & Valuation Services Annual Conference for the second year in a row. Recently, she worked with the U.S. Department of Labor to help inform AICPA constituents about ESOP valuation matters.

Natalya’s areas of expertise include personal injury & wrongful death calculations, wrongful termination calculations, ESOP litigation, class action lawsuit award allocations, shareholder disputes and minority shareholder oppression review, prejudgment interest calculations, lost profits analyses, matrimonial valuation, and litigation including child support calculations, wage underpayment calculations, embezzlement-related calculations, present value of retirement plan calculations, gift & estate tax-related valuations, shareholder buy-out planning and valuations, and review of buy-sell agreements. Natalya also works with a variety of tax clients.

Born and raised in Kalispell, MT Taylor attended Montana State University – Bozeman where he studied Mechanical Engineering and played football for the Bobcats. After tearing his MCL he left MSU and began a 6-year career at Five on Black, moving to Colorado to open locations in Boulder and Denver. After returning to Missoula, he enrolled at Montana State University – Billings to pursue his bachelor’s in accounting and joined BDM for the 2018 tax season as an intern. Since then he has received his CPA license and his focus is primarily on business and individual taxes. Taylor and his wife, Emily, have a dog Piper and two cats, Lewis and Clark and are avid rafters and gardeners.

Kim Pearce, CPA, joined BDM in 2020. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri and migrated North to the Flathead Valley with her family at eight years old. Kim graduated with degrees in accounting and finance at the University of Montana in 2013. After a few years of working in industry, she discovered a passion for public accounting. Kim came to BDM with five years of business and individual tax preparation experience.  When Kim is not preparing tax returns, you can find her outside satisfying her sense of adventure. Some of these adventures include running trail ultra-marathons, spending time at her cabin near Glacier National Park with her husband and dog, and playing soccer. Kim also serves as the Treasurer on Missoula Strikers Board of Directors.

Justin Meidinger joined Boyle, Deveny & Meyer in 2020. He grew up in Indiana and lived in Colorado after graduation, but, after making a few trips to Helena to see his family, he decided to move to Missoula in 2020. Justin received his B.S. in Accounting from Purdue University and worked at a small firm in Boulder focusing on serving small to mid-sized companies before transitioning to Missoula. He has worked in both private and public industry with software companies to construction companies, and at BDM his practice focuses on consulting, reviews, compilations, and tax services . Outside of the office, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife, Casey, and their dogs Winston and Reggie. You can find them hiking, playing kickball and softball, or in the stands at a sporting event in the summer. In the winter, they enjoy spending time skiing or playing a board game inside.

Bryn Metcalfe, CPA is a proud graduate of the University of Montana, where she received her bachelor’s in accounting in 2016 and her Masters in Accountancy in 2017. Raised in Missoula, Bryn began her career in public accounting in Portland, OR, before returning to her hometown in 2019 to join BDM. She specializes in individual and small business taxation. When not in the office, Bryn enjoys spending her free time kayaking, hiking, reading and cheering on the Griz with her husband and son.

Christine is a born and raised Missoulian who joined the BDM administrative staff in 2018. She brings many years of customer service experience after having worked in the banking and financial industries. When not greeting the familiar faces of BDM, Christine enjoys spending time with her husband, Jory and their three very active children. As a family, they enjoy camping, rafting, hiking, any & all sports and traveling throughout our beautiful Big Sky country.

Shannon Hicks received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from The University of Montana and has been practicing in Missoula since 2010; joining our team at Boyle, Deveny & Meyer, P.C. in 2017 and becoming a partner at the beginning of 2023. His experience covers business and individual taxation, financial statement preparation, business management and acquisition, estate planning, and consulting. Outside of the office you may run into Shannon and his family on the river, on the trail, at kids’ events, or enjoying his strict fitness regime of beer and ice cream.

Heather was born and raised in Great Falls, MT. She came to Missoula in 1988 to attend the University of Montana where she received her degree in Elementary Education. While living in Missoula she found it to be a place she loved and wanted to set down roots to make Missoula her permanent home. Heather joined our team in 2016 and works in the service department providing payroll and bookkeeping services for our clients. Heather has one daughter and enjoys spending time with family. She enjoys spending time cheering on the Griz, baking special treats for friends and family and taking scenic drives around our beautiful state. She feels lucky to call Montana, and especially Missoula, home.

Nancy Harrington

Our dear friend and partner, Nancy Harrington CPA MBA, passed away tragically in a canoeing accident in January 2008. Her staff, clients and friends will miss her expertise, patience and kindness. She joined the firm in 1986. She grew up in California and graduated in history from Smith College, Massachusetts in 1967. After raising black sheep in Florence, MT, Nancy became a CPA in 1982 and received her MBA from the University of Montana in 1984. She worked with many non-profits and has served on the boards of Intermountain Planned Parenthood, Missoula Food Bank and Child Care Resources. We will never forget her.

Tom Deveny

Tom Deveny retired in April of 2008. Tom Deveny CPA earned a BS in accounting from the University of Montana in 1975, had a solo practice in Missoula during the mid-seventies, and merged his firm with the Byington firm in 1980. Tom is from Hysham, Montana. He is a supporter of many of Missoula’s non-profits.
